Nearby Cala d'Or is a resort town on the southeastern coast of the Spanish island of Mallorca. It is known for its marina at Cala Llonga. Not only do many yachts anchor here, there are also a few fishing boats here. Many restaurants, charter companies and small shipyards have settled in the marina. Seeing and being seen is just as much a part of the program here as the love of maritime leisure sports. The shores, including the main beach of Cala Gran, are lined with coves lined with pine trees. On a hillside to the north, the medieval Castillo de Santueri overlooks the village of S'Horta and the coast. To the southwest is the Mondragó Natural Park, home to numerous species of birds, including cormorants and ospreys. The golf club Vall Dor Golf can also be reached in just a few minutes.
